The Gateway Pundit reported that the gun that Baldwin fired is a period revolver (you can read TGP’s Larry Johnson’s original post about the pistol here)–F. Lli Pietta 45 Long Colt Revolver. You must open the loading gate to access the cylinder to load a cartridge. You then must cock the hammer manually, otherwise, it will NOT fire. Once the hammer is cocked then only slight pressure on the trigger will release the hammer and initiate the firing cycle.

A Sante Fe, New Mexico District Attorney has announced she is ready to file charges against four people, Baldwin may be included in those charged.

The Daily Mail reports:

New Mexico prosecutors have indicated they may charge Alec Baldwin over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust last year, after the actor handed over his cellphone to be considered as evidence.

In a letter to the state’s financial board, asking for funding to prosecute the high profile case,  Santa Fe District Attorney District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said she was ‘ready’ to file charges against four people.

She stopped short of confirming the charges she planned to bring, but said was ‘certainly looking all the homicide statutes and any gun statutes under New Mexico criminal code’.

When asked specially about charges against Baldwin, the DA said, Asked about whether Baldwin could be charged, the district  “all options are on the table at this point.”

Additionally, she said,”There is a bridge and it will take many more facts, corroborated facts, before we can get to that criminal negligent standard.”

While no charges have been filed, New Mexico has been given funds to proceed with potential prosecutions, which could affect ‘Rust’ producer and actor Alec Baldwin. https://t.co/o3lJmFQVzs
