The Twitter account belonging to Democrat New York State Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky, who is 83-years-old, has been “liking” pornographic tweets on the social media platform.
The obscene tweets were posted by Twitter user @thejaslynn and “liked” by the elderly senator on September 25.

The New York Post reports, “the likes included one for a foul tweet about oral sex — and another was for an X-rated video of some hardcore smut that was tweeted along with the message ‘do you think I can sing?’”
Sen. Stavisky is a grandmother and was first elected in 1999. She is currently campaigning for re-election.
The senator’s office told the Post that the account is managed by staff and not the politician herself.
“There is malfeasance of some sort,” said Stavisky spokesman Pierce Brix, who controls the account. She blamed the strange “likes” on a former staffer that had access to the account.
“I don’t know what happened or who had access. It wasn’t the senator. It wasn’t me,” Brix said.
Brix said that they have since changed the password on the account.
Stavisky’s chief of staff, Mike Favilla, told the Post, “Clearly the senator had nothing to do with these likes. Unfortunately, many former staff members and current staff have access to this account, which will be remedied.”
“We appreciate the NY Post for being so diligent and alerting us of this inappropriate violation.”
Republican opponent Stefano Forte, who is challenging Sen. Stavisky, slammed his opponent for the lewd likes.
“The taxpayers and voters of State Senate District 11 have a right to know why Senator Stavisky is liking hardcore pornography that is degrading to women – on an official government account, no less, and doing so on government time that is subsidized by our tax dollars,” Forte said.
“My team and I have been knocking on doors and talking to voters while Toby and her team spend time watching hardcore porn and releasing violent criminals. I think the proper choice for this district is abundantly clear.”
Forte continued on Twitter, writing, “Stavisky is relentlessly pushing for drag queens in kindergarten, comprehensive sexual education in elementary schools, and now, apparently, hardcore porn on Twitter. There’s only one question left: is this the comprehensive sexual education that Toby insists be taught to kids?”
