Elon Musk Responds to Kamala Harris’ Claim That Hurricane Relief Money Should Go to ‘Communities of Color’ First

Elon Musk has joined in the chorus of people condemning Kamala Harris for her assertion that hurricane relief money should go to “communities of color” first.

Harris made the racist remarks while talking to far left activist and actress Priyanka Chopra during the women’s leadership forum in Washington, D.C. held by the Democratic National Committee.

“It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making,” Harris said. “And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place.

“And if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities and do that work,” Harris continued.

Students for Trump founder Ryan Fournier tweeted in response, “I guess everyone else is just screwed.”

Should be according to greatest need, not race or anything else

Musk replied to Fournier saying that it “should be according to greatest need, not race or anything else.”

The DeSantis campaign has also responded to Harris, saying that her claim is false.

This is false. @VP‘s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified. FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background.
