“Potential Violation of HIPAA” – Mother Outraged After CDC Called Her for Survey Asking Number of Kids in the Household Eligible for Vaccination

“Potential Violation of HIPAA” – Mother Outraged After CDC Called Her for Survey Asking Number of Kids in the Household Eligible for Vaccination

After the CDC panels voted to add the COVID-19 vaccine to the vaccination schedule for children and adolescents, a parent in Illinois was horrified to get a phone call from the agency inquiring how many children are living with her.

A concerned parent, who wanted to remain anonymous, received two phone calls from the Centers for Disease and Prevention Center (CDC) on Tuesday.

“I just declined to answer two unsolicited calls from a caller ID showed as “CDC NATL IMMUN” with phone number 404-806-4812.  Information on the CDC website indicates this is an official CDC phone number used for CDC surveys,” she told The Gateway Pundit.

“The voicemail that was left asked me to call the CDC and tell them how many children between ages 6 months and 17 years of age who are “living or staying” in my household. The phone number they want me to call is 877-220-4805.  I have not called that number, nor do I plan to,” she added.

After doing research into the matter, The Gateway Pundit has learned that these phone calls were conducted as a part of the National Immunization Surveys that were funded by the CDC.

“Have you been called by 404-806-4810, 404-806-4811, or 404-806-4812 (Caller ID CDC NATL IMMUN) about the National Immunization Surveys (NIS), including the NIS-Child, NIS-Teen, NIS-Child Influenza Module (NIS-CIM), NIS-Child COVID Module (NIS-CCM), or NIS-Adult COVID Module (NIS-ACM)?” an entry in CDC website read.

“Please be assured that you were contacted about a survey sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NIS-Child, NIS-Teen, NIS-CIM, NIS-CCM, and NIS-ACM are conducted for CDC by NORC at the University of Chicago,” it stated.

The surveys collect data through telephone interviews with parents or guardians in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and some U.S. territories.

This survey will then be sent to doctors and other vaccination providers when a parent or guardian gives permission to collect data from vaccination providers.

“It’s sickening and a potential violation of HIPAA that the CDC has contacted me,” she added.

“How did they get my contact information?  I have a guess, but it’s just speculative on my part. I used to live in Illinois and worked at a private school.  When I tested positive for COVID in September 2021, the school was required to report positive cases including the name and contact information of the case. I’m sure the state of Illinois shared my contact information with the CDC.”

CDC claimed that cell phone numbers are randomly selected by a computer and called to enroll one or more age-eligible child or teen from the household.

The concerned parent believed this is all part of a scheme by the Biden administration to force the experimental vaccination on young children.

“Even more sickening and disturbing is that they want to know about children in my household clearly because of the latest vaccine push for kids ages 6 months to 17 years.”

“This government agency is out of order and relying on intimidation and sheer force of power to push an agenda,” she added.

More from CDC:

The National Immunization Surveys (NIS) are a group of telephone surveys sponsored and conducted by CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). Administered by NORC at the University of Chicago since 2005, the NIS is one of the largest telephone surveys in the nation and its data are considered the gold standard for public health surveillance on immunization rates. The NIS produces high-quality estimates on the rate of immunization among children in the U.S., considered a critical contributor to the prevention of childhood diseases.

The NIS-Child consists of an interview conducted by telephone with households randomly selected and screened for the presence of young children. Respondents are asked a series of questions about the vaccinations received by selected children (including recommended seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccines), as well as questions about the availability of health insurance and selected demographic information. Respondents are also asked for permission to contact the children’s health providers for the sole purpose of obtaining immunization records, providing an important supplement to the household report. NORC then sends an Immunization History Questionnaire via mail to these health providers.

Last week, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted to recommend the COVID-19 vaccine to be included in the 2023 childhood immunization schedule in 15 unanimous votes.

ACIP recommends the use of COVID-19 vaccines for everyone ages 6 months and older. COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines may be administered on the same day.
