Longtime Democrat activist Rob Reiner is demanding the Justice Department indict former President Donald Trump for inciting violence “directly” correlates to the recent attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi.
Trump has been “spreading The Big Lie for 2 years,” the Oscar-nominated director and actor warned in a tweet Friday.
The former president’s “directly” influenced the suspect to attack Pelosi’s home by claiming the 2020 election was rigged, Reiner argued.
“The violent assault on Paul Pelosi and the attempt to murder Speaker Pelosis directly related to that Lie,” he wrote. ”
Reiner called on law enforcement officials to hold Trump accountable for the violence that ensued at the US Capitol on January 6 and the assailant’s attack on Pelosi.
“Donald Trump is 100% responsible for this and Jan. 6,” he claimed. “He must be indicted and never be allowed to hold office.”

According to the San Francisco Police Department, David DePape broke into the Pelosi home and was identified by police in the house at approximately 2:30 am on Friday morning.
When officers arrived on the scene, DePape and Paul Pelosi “were both holding a hammer,” SFPD Chief Bill Scott said during a press conference Friday following the attack. he suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it. Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency back up, and rendered medical aid.”

According to a police dispatch call, Paul Pelosi reportedly told 911 that Depape is a “friend.”
Paul Pelosi was hospitalized after he was attacked by DePape.
DePape remains in custody. The motive of his attack remains unknown.
Evidence from Depape’s residence indicates DePape is likely a leftist.
“For example, an American flag with rainbow colors and marijuana leaves can be seen in front of the house. Looking closer, a handwritten “Black Lives Matter” sign can be seen hanging in one of the home’s windows,” Breitbart News reports.
Further, another sign posted in a different window reads, ‘Berkeley Stands United Against Hate,’ which refers to a Berkeley-based organization that aims to “stop the hate and implicit biases that are a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns and cities,” the publication notes.

Like Reiner, Democrat lawmakers in tandem with the corporate press are also tying the attack on Pelosi’s husband to the MAGA movement and the January 6 riot.
“Before the assault occurred, according to this source, the intruder confronted Mr. Pelosi in their home, shouting, ‘Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?” an MSNBC host said on Saturday. “That’s what the intruders going through the hallways on January 6th were shouting, ‘Nancy, Nancy.’”
Joe Biden doubled down on the mainstream media’s charge about the attack on Pelosi’s home, warning Trump supporters are to blame.
“It’s reported that the same chant was used by this guy they have in custody that was used on January 6th in the attack on the U.S. Capitol,” Biden said during a speech at Philadelphia’s 3rd Annual Independence Dinner on Friday. “I’m not making this up.”
“This is reported. I can’t guarantee it. I can tell you what’s being reported,” Biden continued. “The chant was ‘Where’s Nancy!? Where’s Nancy!? Where’s Nancy!?’
Biden lashed out at Trump supporters and began yelling while discussing the incident.
This is despicable,” he scathed. “There’s no place in America. There’s too much violence, political violence, too much hatred, too much vitriol.”
“What makes us think that one party can talk about stolen elections, COVID being a hoax – it’s all a bunch of lies – and not affect people who might not be so well balanced?” he asked.“Enough is enough is enough.”
Reiner, who religiously claimed Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, blames the GOP for all crimes involving firearms.

The actor, best know for his role as Meathead from All In the Family, has also long charged the Republican Party with championing racism.
