Western nations around the world have fallen prey to the gender identity craze that is harming the lives of children. Perhaps no other country exemplifies this madness more than Scotland.
The ruling Scottish National Party has proposed a piece of legislation called the Gender Recognition Reform Bill. The proposed law would remove this requirement and allow people to change their gender by self-declaration. The bill also seeks to reduce the age at which someone can apply for a Gender Recognition Certificate from 18 to 16 years. Current Scottish law requires individuals to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria before obtaining a gender recognition certificate.
The Gender Recognition Reform Bill passed the first stage by a vote of 88-33 with four abstentions last week and will now proceed to the amendment process. Dr. Calum MacKellar, the director of research for the Scottish Council on Human Bioethics, aptly articulated the dangers the legislation poses for young people.

“The proposals in the Bill are unreasonable since the latest and most comprehensive studies to date show that a high prevalence of mental disorders, such as autism spectrum traits, often exist in persons with gender dysphoria/incongruence. If the Scottish Parliament accepts this Bill from the Government and removes the protection provided by a medical opinion before gender transitioning takes place, this will inevitably lead to some young Scottish persons being harmed.”
Unfortunately, many young Scots have already suffered life-altering damage in the name of gender identity and the number has skyrocketed in recent years. According to the Scottish Daily Express, there was a staggering 1,411% increase in the number of children under 18 referred to Sandyford, Scotland’s gender identity clinic, from 2013 to 2019. This clinic has also cut corners to reach underage children.
The Daily Telegraph obtained a recording in September from a clinical psychologist at Sandyford who stated adolescents had undergone gender transition treatments often after just one medical assessment. Worse, this clinic has been providing puberty blockers to children as young as nine while the Scottish government looks the other way according to a report from England’s National Health Service. The children who undergo these dangerous treatments are predominately on autism spectrum and suffer from depression.
Should the Scottish Parliament pass the Gender Recognition Reform Bill, one can safely assume hundreds if not thousands more Scottish children will be sacrificed to ghouls who run Sandyford. The Parliament is also likely to consider allowing even younger children to legally transition in the future. The reason for this is prominent members of the Scottish Green National Party, which has a cooperation agreement with the SNP, are already calling for scrapping age limits altogether. No age limits mean toddlers and babies will soon be on the menu for the gender identity psychopaths.
The late Andrew Breitbart proved a savant over a decade ago when he said politics is downstream from culture. The war on children in Scotland demonstrates what happens when the radical left fully infiltrates all segments of society and conservatives completely cede the battlefield. Tax rates no longer matter if society is indoctrinated and your family ends up paying the price.
