Jeremy Mendelsohn: Building Success Through Passion, Persistence, and Travel

Jeremy Mendelsohn’s career proves that big success often starts with a simple idea. As the Director of Strategic Accounts at All Roads Travel, he’s helped over 500,000 students explore the world.

But his journey began with nothing more than passion, persistence, and a love for creating meaningful experiences.

Growing up in California, Jeremy learned the value of teamwork early on. Whether playing sports or getting involved in his local community, he always focused on collaboration. “I’ve always believed that success starts with people,” Jeremy shares. “The relationships you build determine how far you can go.”

His love for travel blossomed during college. While earning his degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at San Diego State University, Jeremy studied abroad in China. That experience opened his eyes to new cultures, challenges, and opportunities.

“Travel showed me a bigger world,” Jeremy recalls. “It pushed me outside my comfort zone, and I realized just how much there was to learn and explore.”

Building a Business at 24

At just 24 years old, Jeremy turned that inspiration into action. He founded TravelZeeky, a group travel company focused on students and corporate clients. His mission was clear: provide impactful, accessible travel experiences while keeping things simple and seamless.

What started as a small operation grew fast. In just five years, TravelZeeky organized over 1,000 events and generated more than $40 million in revenue. By 2018, the company caught the eye of a London-based events firm, which acquired TravelZeeky. That moment was a turning point for Jeremy’s career.

“Starting a business at 24 was exciting, but it wasn’t easy,” Jeremy says. “There were failures, challenges, and moments of doubt. But those are the moments that teach you the most. You just keep showing up and putting in the work.”

Leading at All Roads Travel

After selling TravelZeeky, Jeremy brought his experience to All Roads Travel. Today, as Director of Strategic Accounts, he leads one of the largest student travel companies in the U.S. His role combines big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.

“Travel is more than just visiting places,” Jeremy explains. “It builds confidence, independence, and perspective. Students come back with new skills and memories that stick with them for life.”

Jeremy oversees large-scale programs, building partnerships and creating trips that balance learning and adventure. His hands-on leadership style focuses on listening and teamwork.

“Good ideas come from everywhere,” he says. “The best results happen when you empower your team, collaborate, and make space for creativity.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Jeremy’s adaptability was tested. With travel plans on hold, his team pivoted to virtual events and at-home experiences.

“We had to completely rethink how we operated,” Jeremy shares. “Instead of panicking, we focused on what we could control. Creativity and resilience got us through it.”

Lessons in Entrepreneurship

For Jeremy, entrepreneurship is about persistence, vision, and adaptability. “You can’t plan for everything,” he says. “The key is to stay flexible and keep moving forward. Challenges are where you grow the most.”

He views failure as a stepping stone to improvement. “If something doesn’t work, figure out why and adjust. Success isn’t about avoiding failure—it’s about learning from it.”

Jeremy also believes in the power of starting small. “Focus on what you can control, set clear goals, and build from there. Every small win adds up.”

Balancing Work and Life

While Jeremy works hard, he knows success is about balance. “A fulfilling life isn’t just about business achievements,” he says. “It’s about time with family, exploring new places, and giving back.”

Jeremy stays active in his community through local charities and events. He’s visited 41 countries so far and aims to explore every continent. Travel isn’t just his career—it’s his way of staying inspired.

“Travel connects you to the world,” Jeremy reflects. “It’s about the people you meet, the cultures you experience, and the stories you bring back. That connection keeps me grounded and motivated.”

What’s Next?

Looking ahead, Jeremy is focused on expanding opportunities for student travel. He wants to make travel more accessible, impactful, and meaningful for young people everywhere.

“Travel changes lives,” Jeremy says with a smile. “If I can help even one student see the world differently or grow in confidence, that’s a win. I want to keep creating opportunities for students to explore, learn, and dream bigger.”

With his entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and passion for creating unforgettable experiences, Jeremy Mendelsohn continues to inspire. Whether it’s starting a business at 24 or leading thousands of students to new adventures, Jeremy’s journey proves what’s possible
