University of Idaho Murder Mystery Update: Dog Found Alive and Unharmed at Crime Scene

Did the Idaho killer know his victims?

A dog was found alive and unharmed at the crime scene on the morning the four murdered students were discovered by a housemate inside the home located next to the University of Idaho.

According to a family member of one of the victim’s, Kaylee Goncalves shared the dog with her ex-boyfriend.

According to law enforcement, they do not know if the dog was barking or not.

The two surviving roommates were on the 1st floor/basement floor and slept through the murders, according to police.

The killer who stabbed four University of Idaho students is still at large and police still do not have a weapon.

The identity of the attacker(s) is still not known.

The four deceased students were identified on Monday: 20-year-old Ethan Chapin of Conway, Washington; 21-year-old Madison Mogen of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; 20-year-old Xana Kernodle of Avondale, Arizona; and 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves of Rathdrum, Idaho.

The two other female roommates who were home during the murders are cooperating with law enforcement and were not involved in the murders.

There was no forced entry and the sister of one of the slain students said a lot of people knew the keypad code to the front door.

The autopsies, which were completed last Thursday, revealed each victim was stabbed multiple times and there were no signs of sexual assault.

All four victims were likely asleep at the time of the attack, KREM reported.

There were defense wounds on at least one of the victim’s body.

According to CNN, the victims were found on the second and third floors of the home.

It was also revealed this week that Kaylee Goncalves called her ex-boyfriend several times between 2:30 am and 3:00 am just before the murders.

Goncalves’ mother insisted her daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Jack, had nothing to do with the murders.

“Jack is just as distraught as we are. Jack is our family. Jack is 1,000%. 2,000% our family, and Jack is with us, and we stand behind him 100%,” Kristi Goncalves told host Lawrence Jones.

“We are supporting him, and we know in our hearts and our minds and our souls and the depths of our soul, Jack is hurting,” she continued. “Kaylee and Jack would have eventually been married. They would have eventually been married, and they would have eventually had children.”
