White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday confirmed that Joe Biden will be attending a Democrat fundraiser while Hurricane Ian slams into Florida and causes billions in damage.
Hurricane Ian made landfall on Florida’s west coast on Wednesday as a category 4 storm.
The eye of the storm hit Cape Coral Wednesday with maximum sustained winds of 155 miles per hour.
Biden will attending a Democrat fundraiser tonight.
Joe Biden hasn’t even called Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to discuss the federal government’s response to Hurricane Ian.
A reporter asked Karine Jean-Pierre if Biden will still be hobnobbing and rubbing elbows with Democrat elites tonight.
“Is it still Biden’s intent to attend a political fundraiser tonight while a hurricane hits Florida?” a reporter asked Karine Jean-Pierre asked.
“We don’t have any changes in his schedule,” KJP said.
